Local Businesses Launch Property Club
23/02/2009
Accountants Baker Tilly, solicitors Matthew Arnold & Baldwin (MAB) and property surveyors Aitchison Raffety, together with Barclays’ Commercial Banking Property team in Hertfordshire, have launched the Hertfordshire Property Club, to provide expert advice for those involved in the commercial property sector.
“Market conditions are now completely different to those of the past decade which saw almost constant growth” explains a spokesperson for the Hertfordshire Property Club. “There are good opportunities for investors and developers and, contrary to popular belief, finance is available to creditworthy applicants. Equally importantly, landlords should be aware that tenants may be more likely to default in the current economic climate and we can provide advice and guidance to safeguard landlords’ interests”.
The Hertfordshire Property Club will be free to join and is open to any company with an interest in commercial property. The group will hold quarterly breakfast meetings with two or three keynote speakers and the first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 11th March at 7.45am at the offices of Watford-based solicitors Matthews Arnold & Baldwin. The speakers will be Steve McCrindle of Baker Tilly who will consider the consequences of recent VAT changes, and Mark Downham of Aitchison Raffety who will be advising on investment opportunities in the current market.
Further information and membership details can be obtained from Karen Jeffery at Matthew Arnold & Baldwin Solicitors: karen.jeffery@mablaw.co.uk.
