Promotions at Brian Barber Associates

Northampton based, Chartered Town Planning Consultants, Brian Barber Associates (BBA), has promoted Philip Smith to Director with effect from 1 October 2009 and James Holmes has become an Associate Director.  In addition, the practice has recruited Jonathan Wood who joins on 19 October as Planning Consultant.

The changes follow a reorganisation within BBA following the retirement of Terry O’Brien at the end of September.  “Terry has been a key player in the ongoing success of the practice and also in the development of our staff” said Nigel Ozier, Managing Director.  “I am delighted that he is going to continue in a consultancy role for the foreseeable future”.

Philip Smith joined BBA in 2003 and his promotion reflects his success in obtaining new instructions for the Practice.  Jonathan Wood joins as Planning Consultant having worked for a London practice and, in a further re-organisation, Karen Tate becomes a Senior Planning Consultant in the Northampton office.

James Holmes, newly promoted to Associate Director, has extensive experience in securing planning permission for major residential, commercial and mixed use developments in London and the surrounding counties, and will continue to be based in BBA’s Berkhamsted office in Hertfordshire.
